About these files and this CD ============================= Welcome. These files are a URB/BFM archive from the years 1993-1996 when I was around at Lancaster. Audio files are compressed as MP3 mono/stereo at various bit rates. Pictures are primarily coded as JPG, with the occasional TIF file where appropriate. The motion video documentary files are coded as Video for Windows using MPEG4 compression, see seperate readme file in that directory. I have all files for everything without lossy compression - available on request - but they do of course take up much more space ! I've endeavoured to use the best compression to allow everything here to fit onto a single CDROM. I have also organised this CD so that it will play automatically on MP3-CD players.
